NAME M1 Region
Spring has sprung and I am so happy for all of us that have suffered the snows we have not seen in years. Sometimes it was difficult to get out of the house. If it was not snow, it was the cold and brutal wind. I don’t know about you but I settled in with my tea and minis. I finished so many UFO’s I feel like I really accomplished something. Still too many to go, maybe someday I will get them all done.
I feel like WE have really accomplished something here in M1. It has been two years since I became Regional Coordinator. I see lots of new things established in M1. We now have a great web site Sue Seiffert tends for us. If you have information you would like to get out to the region send it to Sue! How about your Club information, send it to Sue. Dates for events send it to Sue Then there is our awesome Newsletter, on line and in snail form too. Thanks to Susan Karatjas who does a wonderful job when we remember to give her information, pictures and articles to publish.
Wow, that is just the beginning. Many of you are hosting State Days, Club Days and the National NAME Day in October. I have been privileged to serve on the National Committee and I think this will be a wonderful event for all of us to participate in. Haven’t made plans to host an event ? There is still time to do so. Let us know so we can post the information on the web site and in the next newsletter for you. Then there are shows and garage sales; the list goes on and on.
Coming in May 2011 is our own Regional Houseparty, Somewhere in Time. The Committee has been busy planning wonderful events for all in attendance. I hope you will consider coming to Rochester and seeing how it happens. If you have never been to a Houseparty this is a don’t miss occasion, where you can meet people in our region, making friends that will last a lifetime.
Don’t forget National this year either. The folks in Seattle are doing a wonderful job with their Houseparty. If you are going I hope you attend the Regional meeting. I love to get to meet you all and find out what is on your mind. I am here to serve you and if I don’t know what you need I can’t help. Maybe I can’t help if I do know what you need but I will try.
The Gazette has been a little off kilter this year just like the weather! Please forgive NAME. It really is not their fault. Mother Nature and the Postal service have been up to their usual tricks delaying Mail service. Give them a break and enjoy the wonderful Magazine that is yours as a part of your membership in NAME. Don’t forget to vote when your issue arrives! Only through Sharing and only through Caring about the existence of our wonderful organization. NAME is here for you if you need help with a project, guidance or just a friend or two that will spend time with you wait for the glue to dry!
